Please join Leo Kuelbs Collection and coGalleries as they celebrate the beginning of Berlin’s Art Week with a sneak preview of “Identity 0.0,” a nine video + sound collaboration examining changing notions of what “Identity” means in the digital age. This preview is exclusive to Fata Morgana/coGalleries and is in advance of the “Identity 0.0” official release in New York City on November 2nd, 2017. “Identity 0.0” will loop from 7 p.m. until 8 p.m. when a short introduction + champagne toast will be led by Leo Kuelbs and attending artists. Afterwards, an official screening of the approximately 50 mn program will begin.
In the front room, coGalleries presents works from the “Colourtectures” series by artist and architect Carlos Silva. His gestural ink on paper works tap architectural imagery and reveal commonalities with ancient calligraphic forms. Berlin-based, Colombian born and trained in South and Central America, Silva demonstrates a sensibility that transcends cultures and times. He is also a founding member of the Milchof Sudios group, based in Prenzlauerberg. The artist will be on hand, along with coGalleries founder Robin Resch to introduce the works.
